Who We Are
We are a church located in Hortense, Georgia.
Sovereign Grace Baptist Church is a local assembly of baptized believers who seek to honor our great God and Savior Jesus Christ in praise, worship, and service. We preach and teach the whole counsel of God’s Word through Biblical expository preaching, including the glorious doctrines of God’s grace in the salvation of sinners (also known as the "Five Points of Calvinism") and the historic views of Baptist faith and practice.

David Green
David Green has been preaching since 1996. Ordained in 2007, he has ministered in Kentucky, New Mexico, and Ohio. Since 2021 he has been in Brunswick Georgia where he is the pastor of Sovereign Grace Baptist Church in Hortense Georgia (about 22 miles west of Brunswick).
